Kohei Kato
Hokkaido, Japan

Hello, my name is Kohei Kato and I live in Hokkaido, Japan. I started collecting Coleman when two model 200A lanterns were discovered in my parents home. My father was a fisherman and he had used them a long time ago. They were in the Coleman red metal cases, and they were very dirty and I didn't think they would work or could even be used.

I managed to clean them up and get them to work. When I lit them, they produced a wonderful glaring light that must have contained some kind of wonderful because I was hooked on collecting Coleman!!
I saw some pictures of the 1999 Coleman Convention and in the pictures were Ron & Charleen Becker's picnic jugs with the diamond logo and I came to like them very much! I also liked the pictures of the campstoves and the blow torches.

The other day I participated in camping with the Coleman Outdoor Club here in Japan. It was my fortieth birthday and my friends baked me a cake and we had a big celebration. It was a wonderful birthday and I was surrounded by Coleman and my friends. I was very, very happy!!

The next Coleman thing I am searching for is a Solus stove, the hunt is on!! I hope you enjoy my pictures as much as I enjoy all of yours.
