#64A Coffee Service Set 1930 - 1934

#17SA Chandelier
1913 - 1920
Our collecting of Coleman products all started in 1990 when Charleen’s Dad, a Coleman retiree, gave Charleen a lantern that he had purchased at an old farm auction. He didn’t know anything about it and neither did we. It had no globe, thin plating, a few small dents, and Ron thought it was just a piece of junk. After having it set around the house for a few months, Charleen did some investigating and found that it was a Coleman Arc Lantern.
#1 and #7 Lamps
1906 - 1918

1 gallon Jugs
1958 - 1965
We were surprised to learn that this was the first model of lantern that Coleman made starting in 1914. After more research we found that they also made lamps in the early years. Lamps? Coleman only makes lanterns, tents, and sleeping bags. What a real learning experience. It’s amazing of all the different type of products that Coleman produced over the years. We basically collect anything that says Coleman on it, and we are still learning all the time of the many different facts about their products.
After collecting for a few years, we found that there were other collectors of Coleman and was glad to hear that we weren’t alone.
This has been a great hobby for both us to enjoy together. Over the years we have spent a lot of our spare time on Coleman hunting trips, trying to add to our collection, which has taken us to many places that we would never have gone to.

Electrical Products from the 1930's
We very much enjoy being a part of the International Coleman Collectors Club. By attending the annual meets, it gives us the chance to visit many different cities, see old friends and to make new ones.
